Privacy Policy
Effective Date: 30 July 2025
Last Updated: 30 July 2025
This Privacy Policy describes how we handle your information when you use our macOS application, which is available exclusively on the Apple App Store and includes in-app purchases such as monthly and yearly subscriptions.
1. Commitment to Your Privacy
We deeply respect your right to privacy and are committed to maintaining the highest levels of data protection. Our macOS app is designed to operate with minimal data collection, relying only on secure, anonymized methods to ensure proper functionality and app reliability. We do not collect, sell, or share any personal data from our users.
2. No Personal Data Collection
We do not collect any personally identifiable information (PII). This means:
- No names, emails, addresses, or device identifiers are collected.
- We do not use advertising identifiers, third-party trackers, or analytics SDKs.
- We do not track user behavior, engagement, or app usage metrics.
The app operates entirely locally on your device, with no user data transmitted externally.
3. Subscription & Purchase Handling
All in-app purchases, including monthly and yearly subscriptions, are managed entirely by Apple through the App Store. We do not process, store, or access your payment information at any point.
- All payment processing, billing, and refund operations are governed by Apple's terms.
- For support regarding subscriptions, billing, or refunds, users should visit Apple's Report a Problem page or contact Apple Support.
We recommend that users review Apple's End User License Agreement (EULA) for apps, which governs app usage:
https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/
4. Server-Side Subscription Validation
To maintain subscription integrity and prevent fraud, our app uses a secure server to anonymously verify StoreKit transaction receipts with Apple.
- This server does not store or collect any personal data.
- It performs one-way validation by checking transaction receipts and responding with the app's subscription status.
- No user-identifiable data is ever logged, stored, or shared. All operations are handled anonymously.
5. Crash Reporting
We use Google Firebase Crashlytics to monitor app stability and fix bugs quickly. This helps us improve your experience by understanding technical failures and app crashes.
- Crash reports do not include any personally identifiable information.
- Firebase may collect anonymized diagnostic data such as device model, iOS version, and crash logs.
- This data is used strictly for diagnostic purposes and is not linked to individual users.
Firebase's privacy practices can be reviewed at:
https://firebase.google.com/support/privacy
6. No Third-Party Tracking or Advertising
Our app is free from:
- Ad networks
- Marketing SDKs
- Behavioral analytics
- Location tracking
- Third-party data sharing
Your activity within the app remains entirely private.
7. Local-First Design
The application has been built with a local-first architecture, meaning:
- All primary functionality runs on your macOS device.
- Features do not require an internet connection unless validating active subscriptions.
- User preferences and data (if any) are stored only on your device and never transmitted elsewhere.
8. Data Security
Even though we don't collect personal data, we follow best practices in software development to secure the app against potential misuse:
- Secure communication with Apple's servers via HTTPS
- App sandboxing enforced by macOS
- Adherence to Apple's privacy requirements for App Store apps
9. Enterprise-Level Transparency
We aim to provide full transparency for enterprise and individual users alike. As part of our commitment:
- We maintain strict internal access controls on crash and server data.
- We do not profile users, engage in behavioral advertising, or build any form of user database.
- Our backend is used solely for technical compliance with App Store policies and not for user analytics.
10. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as needed to reflect changes in app functionality or legal obligations. Updates will be:
- Published within the app
- Reflected on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date
We encourage you to periodically review this policy.
